ELIC operates an intensive Japanese language program for foreigners wishing to gain proficiency in reading, writing, listening as well as speaking Japanese．ELIC is capable of sponsoring students with student visa for long-team one or two year course for pre-university students studying for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test．Classes are divided into levels based on ability of the students with professionally trained teachers offering a variety of resources and materials/textbooks for all levels．Classes are Monday to Friday with new courses starting in January，April，July，and October．
For students wishing to study in Japan with a six-month(renewable up to four times)student visa，certain documents and an application must be submitted by ELIC to the immigration department in Japan．Such documents submitted in Japanese or English include：financial and guantor information， certificates and diplomas from educational and Japanese language institutions，purpose of study essay，and other personal information．
