ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTS

Applicant’s papers ：

1)Application form

Please do in own handwriting attach photo．There has to be no blanks of time in your personal history since graduated from your school in your country．Please account for time not employed and not enrolled in school．If there are parts of your education that differ from the standard educational system in your home country，documents explaining the discrepancy may be required from the appropriate education institutions．If you have been to Japan before，fill in the date，period purpose and the place of stay at the application form (Experience of Landing in Japan)．Please write in detail about your study purpose，plan after graduation from ELIC．
Personal History：

Applicant has to write in ３：

○what you are going to do after finishing the Japanese Language School．
○why you need to learn Japanese language
○what for you are going to use the language in your career
Note that your needs of Japanese language and your major at school or your career must be related．
If you intend to study Japanese without any support of educational or occupational background … If your major at school or your career is not at all concerned to Japanese or its language，you have to write the reason why you have changed your career or major．

2)7 photos (4cm×3cm) taken within last 6 months．

3)Notarized/certified copy of birth certificate or I.D. card，resident card．

4)Copy of all passport pages．

5)Original diploma (not a copy) from latest graduated educational institution．

6)Notarized/certified copy of most recent educational transcript．

7)Records of previous Japanese study．

This document should state in detail the length of study，total number of lessons，and texts used，grades，test scores．Original JLPT certificate (the person who has passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test by Association of International Education of Japan)．

Please note，if you have studied Japanese more than 1 year ago，or studied without a teacher，you should passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (at least fourth level of the JLPT)． And if you took this test more than 1 year ago，you should pass take this test again．

８)Employment record including work included．

Financial supporter’s papers：

In case of self payment：

１）Certificate of bank account balance
Also copy of a bankbook （clearly showing deposits and withdraws） showing the above balance．
(a certificate of bank account valid for foreign currency transfer to Japan “YEN”)．
＊２）Document certifying income/ tax return notarized by the tax office．
＊３）Employment record

Please write work included，salary payment，period，position．If you are a director of a company，you must send certified copy of company registry or copy of business permit．

In case of guarantor payment：

＊１）Document explaining the relationship of the sponsor to the applicant．
For example，family register or certificate of citizen registration，birth certificate of other document verifying the sponsor's relationship to the applicant．

＊2) Employment record．
Please write work included．

＊3）Document certifying income / tax return notarized by the tax office or official organization．

＊4）Certificate of bank account balance
